I am delighted to extend an invitation to individuals of all experience levels, including beginners, to explore the art of Mokuhanga at Mokuhanga Den. The workshops are thoughtfully designed to accommodate and enrich participants from diverse artistic backgrounds.
* Personalized One-to-One Mokuhanga Lessons
I am pleased to offer personalized one-to-one Mokuhanga lessons, meticulously tailored to meet individual artistic needs and objectives. These private sessions are designed to provide undivided attention and customized guidance, ensuring that each participant achieves their specific learning goals in the art of Japanese woodblock printing.
2. Studio Facilities:

* Participants can bring their own materials if preferred.
3. Price(Yen): Standard timing: 10 AM – 5 PM with lunch included. Flexible scheduling available.

To accommodate varying levels of interest and availability, I am pleased to offer customizable workshop durations for the Mokuhanga courses. Participants may choose from the following options:
- Workshop Duration: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Two or Three-day Workshop: Ideal for beginner or those seeking a brief introduction to the techniques
- Three to Five-Day Workshops: Recommended for individuals who wish to delve deeper into the mokuhanga, practice advanced techniques, and complete a more comprehensive project.
- Example of One-on-One Lesson Pricing : 2-day (48,000), 3-day (72,000) etc; * This information may change based on requirements and number of participants.
- convenience store bento meals are served for lunch
- Coffee or tea and snacks are also provided
- Our studio space can accommodate up to Three participants. If you wish to join a workshop with friends or a partner, please make a request in advance.
*Once you have selected the desired duration for your workshop—from one to five days or a long term stay—please inform me of your decision. Upon receiving your selection, I will promptly provide you with the specific fee details for the chosen workshop via email.
4.Payment
* Payment is accepted via PayPal or cash.
Please note that any transaction fees will be covered by the participant.
* Booking & Cancellation
A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking. Full payment and cancellation terms will be sent before your booking is finalized. Please contact me ASAP regarding cancellation.
5. Facilities and Terms of Use: Participants are expected to maintain cleanliness and quietness during the class and assist with cleanup afterward.

Private studio in Kyoto city (address shared with confirmed participants only)

- As someone with a healthy amount of experience in Mokuhanga, this workshop was simply me trying to find a way to do some printing while I was in Japan. And that’s what this was.
